Open House showcases the Cal Poly campus to new students, their families, and the community while offering a glimpse into life as a Mustang.
Beginning with Campus Preview Night at the world-famous Downtown San Luis Obispo's Farmer's Market, attendees explore downtown San Luis Obispo and see what life is like in SLO. Continuing with Admitted Students' Preview Day, attendees kick off the day with a University Welcome, hearing from campus leaders, first-year students, and faculty about their Mustang Legacies. The rest of the day is for experiencing Cal Poly's Learn by Doing philosophy through sessions from the academic colleges, including interactive classrooms. That evening, prospective students meet up at Friday Night Invite while parents and supporters are invited to Coffee House to learn about what's next for new students on their Cal Poly journey.
Open House weekend concludes with the Poly Royal Parade, Campus Showcase, Poly Royal Main Stage and other premier special events, including Poly Royal Rodeo, Poly Royal Truck & Tractor Pull and more as the campus community comes together to celebrate.
