We confront complex challenges creatively and responsibly.

The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) trains future generations of change-makers. We empower students to confront complex issues by providing an interdisciplinary education. Our emphasis on experiential learning projects and research opportunities for students and faculty, combined with our leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming enriches the Learn by Doing experience for all Cal Poly students.

Dean's Challenge:

The CLA department with the highest number of donors will receive an extra $1,000 gift from Dean Williams. Every donor counts!

Giving Priorities:

Invest in a Learn by Doing fund for experiential learning projects: internships, study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research experiences, and senior projects.

Enhance support for hiring new faculty with DEI expertise, mentorship opportunities for students, and a more inclusive campus climate.

Provide more support for the teacher-scholar model, allowing faculty to bring their practical expertise and research projects into their classrooms.

Renovate and build spaces that support hands-on learning and cutting-edge inquiry.
