The College of Architecture and Environmental Design relies upon the support of private individuals, companies and foundations to supplement state support. These gifts fund the special programs and student support that is critical to the high quality education the CAED maintains. In addition, this private support allows the flexibility necessary to meeting changing needs of equipment and other resources.
Help CAED Students Reimagine Underserved Communities by Giving to the Resilient Design Fund
After the Camp Fire destroyed much of the Northern California town of Paradise, Cal Poly architecture students are developing concept plans for a re-imagined community — from the infrastructure of roads, parks, and bikeways to the locations of new residential, commercial, and communal buildings. This campaign will provide funds for our students to continue helping people in need – in underserved communities beset by natural calamities or economic and social challenges.
Gifts make it possible for departments to establish endowments which will continue to support the College in perpetuity. Other, smaller gifts make it possible for department heads and the dean to support many activities critical to the education of tomorrow’s design, planning and construction leaders.
