Recognized as the global leader in undergraduate agricultural education.
Every day at the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, we are investing in the future by focusing on student success. Featuring nine departments across many disciplines, we bring learning into the field, the farm and the forest in order to meet the diverse agricultural and environmental needs of California and our global society. We are committed to providing students with on-campus internships and individualized research opportunities to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the workplace as soon as they graduate. Your support ensures students continue to benefit from these vital Learn by Doing opportunities.
Giving Priorities:
- Earn by Doing Internship Program:
- Last year, more than 400 students were employed in the program, gaining paid work experience at one of 15 food and agricultural operations at CAFES. With your help, the program can continue providing monetary support to essential student workers. Learn More.
- Dean’s Power of Doing Fund:
- Giving to this fund provides support where it is needed most. Your support enhances student success across our departments and centers, furthers opportunities with industry and research and helps advance capital projects.
- Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP):
- SURP is a 10-week research program that connects students with faculty to collaborate on cutting-edge research. Charitable contributions allow more students to participate in research and receive a stipend for their work. Learn More.
