Enhancing workspaces for student clubs and projects.
Throughout the Cal Poly College of Engineering community, our students and alumni are putting the power of doing to work. With their reputation for being curious problem solvers, creative thinkers and, above all, hands-on doers, our engineers have made an extraordinary impact on science and society, in industry, and in service to humanity.
That success comes from the multidisciplinary project shops and resources that spark creativity and problem-solving for our clubs and student project teams where the spirit of Learn by Doing thrives.
Giving Priorities:
- The Dathe Family Student Project Center
- Poised to expand with outdoor workspaces next to the Hangar, the outdoor student project center reaffirms a commitment to hands-on education, adapting and growing in tandem with the ever-changing needs of its learners. Learn more.
- Student Shop Techs
- Our student shop techs are at the heart of Learn by Doing. Shop techs provide safety training for over 1,000 new users each year from any major on campus, a number that has grown with enrollment.
