Behind every great university is a great library. The Robert E. Kennedy Library is the place at Cal Poly where people and information intersect, and where knowledge is created. Cal Poly’s Kennedy Library serves as the university's vibrant core, embodying the essence of campus life and learning. With over one million visitors per year, it serves all students, faculty, staff, and community members outside of Cal Poly with resources and collaborative spaces for group projects and interaction.

Giving Priorities:

• Library Transformation Fund: 
  • The Kennedy Library is over 40 years old and needs significant system upgrades. In June 2023, all personnel and services moved out of the building and are operating at several locations across the campus. All library services continue to be available. The Library building is being transformed with a faster technology infrastructure, improved wireless access points, air conditioning, additional 24-hour study space and more collaborative study spaces for group study and projects. 

The Kennedy Library building will reopen for fall quarter, 2025. Help us improve our library through your support!
